Four steps to start being indispensable for the right things.
Write down everything you did this week that will not appear on your performance review. Notes, logistics, follow-ups, emotional catch-up conversations.
You cannot decide what to stop without seeing what you are currently doing.
What is one thing you will stop, delegate or let go of?
What is one demand on your time you will stop responding to instantly? Write down what it is and decide how long it can wait.
One boundary, practised again and again, changes how both you and other people regard your calendar.
Now picture yourself doing it. Starting in your imagination is where new habits begin. Ponder the impact this one change creates.
Do that now. What do you notice?
Name one high-volume task you could stop doing or hand off. Then name one high-impact project that connects you to a real decision being made at a senior level.
Volume keeps you busy. Clarity protects your career.
Does this swap feel doable? What needs to happen to make it real?
Think of something you did recently. Now write it as a result for the business and what changed because of it.
It's time to get promoted for what you've changed.
